i love going hiking on sundays. if i don’t go for a few weeks straight, i would kind of feel uncomfortable. i remember two or three weeks before the miss hk final show, the producer asked me to stop going hiking as my skin was getting more tanned. i listened to him, but yeh, really missed the outdoor summer fun and all that fresh air and blue sky. so this past sunday i finally went hiking again, around the peak with a few friends. before we hiked around the peak, we had our ‘western’ breakfast at the peak gallery; toast, eggs, baked beans, and of course, my much-needed skim milk latte. i was happy to find that the peak gallery now has more trendy and stylish restaurants. nice!

listening repeatedly to michael buble’s ‘Home’. Oh-so-comforting and relaxing…i think this song and his song ‘Feeling Good’ resonate with how i’ve been feeling lately. it’s mainly a great positive energy, and yet of course, with a certain sense of insecurity and instability about what the future holds for me. i guess, i also feel a little nostalgic that i am leaving things in the past behind and starting a new chapter in life. my old boss Peter is really gracious. he threw a celebration dinner for me on Monday night. it was supposed to be me buying him, sandra and their daughter a nice and quiet dinner, as a sincere thank you for their support and encouragement along the way, and also to catch up a bit since i haven’t since him for three months. but Peter is just so warm-hearted and generous that he invited my old colleagues to join and ended up buying us all a extravagant chinese dinner with all the shark fins and abalone. sandra surprised me with a very sweet strawberry cake… peter’s mom said she actually went to the stadium to watch the show live. it was a really touching and fun night, we were all very happy and laughed a lot!!
